Peter and the Starcatcher is a story about a girl named Molly Aster, daughter to Lord Aster, a man on an important and secret mission from the Queen of England (God save her!). While on board the Neverland, Molly meets three orphan boys; Ted, Prentiss, and a boy with no name. After a series of betrayals, a spot of piracy, and the revelation of Molly’s status as a starcatcher, two ships crash and break into the sea. Throughout the latter half of the play, the boy gains a name, Peter Pan, and he and all of the other characters navigate an island full of hostile crustaceans while also navigating new friendships, new beginnings, and a little bit of star stuff.
During this rehearsal process, we found magic in the little things, and embraced the many ways and times we grow up throughout our lives.
