This show was a part of the 14/48 Outdoors festival, a festival of 14 plays written, directed, teched, and performed all within 48 hours. The theme for the first night was “Cruel to Be Kind.” This piece afforded us the opportunity to play with heightened physicality and stakes while remaining emotionally honest. Leaning into my background in clowning, this incredibly ridiculous, nightmare-ish scene became a non-stop laughfest until it’s heartfelt conclusion.

This show was a part of the 14/48 Outdoors festival, a festival of 14 plays written, directed, teched, and performed all within 48 hours. The theme for the first night was “Blood, Sweat, and Cheers.” This silly yet somehow still sweet two-hander required complete sincerity so as to not give away the multitude of gradual reveals in this piece. The combination of horror and tenderheartedness drew in audiences, whose connection and investement brought this scene to life.
